Happy Monday, Y’all! Everyone that knows me is aware that I am a coffee addict. So, I had to share a few of my favorite coffee shops I enjoy studying at on the blog today in honor of school recently starting. It has been a crazy first month and a half of the Fall semester, I already want to pull my brain out. I love using “studying” as an excuse to go to cute coffee shops, I mean why not? I get a lot of questions about what places I like going to the most. I prefer a more calm and relaxing environment. With that being, I’ve been to many and these made my list (not in a specific order)…

Summer Moon – Frisco

This place definitely makes the list. Their food and drinks are so yummy but can be a bit crowded at times. For coffee, I recommend, of course, their signature summer moon latte and I get a quarter of moon milk (less milk). The 007 is amazing it is 2 shots of espresso chilled with a splash of moon milk served in a chilled shot glass. It definitely does the trick when I am studying. On the far right picture, I ordered their hibiscus tea and it was so refreshing and delicious. On top of all of their great drink selections, it does make a great study spot.

Crooked Tree Coffee House – Uptown Dallas

Crooked Tree is the cutest little coffee shop. It literally is a house in the heart of uptown. I love the environment and how homey it feels. Their pastry selection is amazing and their coffee never disappoints. I could be here for hours doing school work. When I come here I usually get a regular latte with an extra shot of espresso with more foam than milk, yummy! Oh, and parking is rough at times since it is in the city but that is the only downside.

Mudsmith – Lower Greenville

Mudsmith is one of the first “hole in the wall” coffee shops I have ever been to. It is still my favorite and they have amazing drinks. I get an iced or warm regular latte. In the top left picture, I got a Pumpkin Spiced Latte with an extra shot and it was delicious. They also serve beer on tap so you can go there for either or. I love that they are usually open until 11pm except for Sundays. Usually, coffee shops close around 6 or 7.

Local Press + Brew – Dallas

Local Press + Brew has always been a favorite. It is a cute little spot in Dallas and they have amazing Brews and fresh pressed juices. I love how they have such a variety of fresh juices and they give you an option to get a sampler. My favorite is the coconut water. You also have to try their lemon bar, so yummy!

Halcyon – Lower Greenville

Halcyon, coffee bar by day and bar & lounge by night. I love the mixed environments this place serves because I can sip on coffee while studying, brunch it up alongside a Bloody Mary, roast smores while playing a game of trivia with friends, and even have drinks at the bar at night. On Monday during the evenings, they have a Jazz night and it is so relaxing while sipping on a glass of wine. They have happy hour Sunday-Friday 4pm-8pm and they have $5 appetizers, $2 beers, and more. Overall, a great environment for studying and great for hangouts.

Method Coffee – East Dallas

Method Coffee is located in East Dallas and their baristas know what they are doing when it comes to coffee. This place never disappoints and I love studying here. This is a good spot for someone who is obsessed with espresso or just a cup of coffee. I stuck with my usual, regular latte with an extra shot of espresso.

This was a spontaneous blog I felt the need to share because I do get a lot of questions about my top places in Dallas.  I love finding new study spots & suggestions! Please comment below with your favorite place.

XOXO, Mary Alexius
