Lace Bell Sleeve // two ways

Look at this fab comfy bell sleeve sweater!!! I am so obsessed and it comes in two colors. It is Love by Design and I bought it during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale and there are a few in stock but you have to find one through a sales associate because it is low inventory. After the sale, they went back to full price but recently just got marked down. It is definitely one of my favorite sweaters and it for sure kept me cozy in Vancouver.

As the day was getting closer to the evening it got chilly, and I went from my go to boyfriend denim shorts with my favorite travel Birkenstocks to my pair of 7 For All Man Kind denim pants with my classic Converse. My favorite thing about this sweater is that it is versatile between climates.

By the way, you need to visit Granville Island in Vancouver and try the Chicken Pot Pie; it is going to be the best pot pie you have ever had. Everything there is made fresh, the scenery is beautiful, you’ll find amazing meats and vegetables. I also recommend the Capilano Suspension Bridge, if you’re not afraid of heights. It is absolutely beautiful pictures does not do the place justice. They have the cutest coffee shop right outside the park and I got a regular latte and it was delicious.

Happy Saturday, everyone!!! I am thrilled to be back home just in time for the J.Crew launch at Nordstrom Galleria at Dallas, today in Point of View. I am loving this striped button-up top. It is lightweight and goes perfectly with any denim, like this skirt I paired it with. We also got in cute accessories that I added to the look. I wanted to go with a pink accent, so I added a large leather pink clutch to get a more fun look.

Tuesday + Tie Front Top

It is Tuesday, y’all! Hope everyone is having a great week so far. I am wrapping up summer II finals this week and it has been a crazy four weeks with that and anniversary sale going on. I wanted to share on my blog today this cute Lush tie front top. This is one of the latest trends right now that I am absolutely in love with. It definitely brings a little more fun to an outfit than just a plain blouse.

I paired this top with my favorite J Crew floral shorts. They are so easy to throw on with anything, especially casual and dressy, yet comfortable. I was sold once I saw the elastic waistband, haha! I still can’t get enough of these Joie – Delilah’s !!! I looked a few days ago and they were still in stock and now they sold out, ah!

Happy Friday Jr., everyone! I wanted to share this workout top with y’all. I love Old Navy because they always have amazing deals. This strappy-back tank is only $10 and it is so comfortable and light weight. It is designed for peak active performance and will keep you dry. I love wearing it when I work out or go for a run.

My Favorite Summer Bikini

Happy Thursday, y’all! I hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July. Being in Texas I, of course, lounged by the pool and tried to stay cool while laying on my favorite pineapple float by Big Mouth Inc. They have so many different types of floats, it is awesome! I also just got the white swan so, I am excited about that.

Okay, so it is normally hard for me to find a cute bathing suit that fits my body and this one is my favorite bikini yet. I ordered this high-waisted bikini set on SheIn and it is super affordable and on sale right now. The quality is amazing for the price. For sizing, I do recommend to go up a size because it runs fairly small. I am wearing a Large and I am normally a medium. If you have any questions comment down below.

Mini Chicago Trip – Travel Guide (Summer)

It is summer y’all and it is travel time! I am trying to get a few trips in before I start my summer II class. A few weekends ago I was in Chicago visiting family and friends. It was my first time and I can’t wait to go back; it was such a beautiful city. I rounded up a few recommendations for a quick getaway in Chicago. What made me fall in love were the roof top bars. That is definitely a must when visiting the windy city.

Top Food Recommendations

Portillo’s Hot Dogs – When in the Chi you must try a Chicago style hot dog and an Italian Beef; it is delicious. Also, with your meal order a Coca-Cola, lol. IT IS SO GOOD HERE! Don’t forget their chocolate cake. I missed it the first time and I was told I was missing out so I went back and got it and I have no regrets.

Pizzeria Uno – I definitely recommend this restaurant for a good deep dish pizza.  For an appetizer, you must try their calamari. I got a regular deep dish with bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and pepperoni. Of course, when in Chicago you have to try their local IPA, Daisy Cutter.

Public House – This was one of my favorite Restaurant Bars. I went there twice for dinner and then the next day for drinks. To start with we ordered the housemade pretzels served with cheddar beer fondue; it was so yummy. It was a great pair with beer. For my main course, I ordered the Lemon-Grass Ginger Mussels and it was absolutely delicious and flavorful; I would order it again.

Summer House Santa Monica – This spot is for sure on the top of the list for brunch spots. Their Bloody Mary’s were hands down the best. I asked what the waiter recommended because I was so indecisive since everything sounded amazing. I ordered the breakfast tostadas and it was phenomenal. The salsa was amazing and served with a piece of avocado. While you are there check out their pastries; their cookies are delish.

Blue Door (Lincoln Park) – I stumbled across this cute farm-to-fork restaurant and they were having free food and Rosé samples, I couldn’t turn that offer down. My favorites for the food portion was the kale salad and the grilled cheese. It was game over when I tried their lemon bars, haha! I probably ate five, oops.

Bar Recommendations

Cindy’s Rooftop Bar & Restaurant – This cute spot is located in the heart of Chicago with the best views of Lake Michigan and Millenium Park. I didn’t get to eat at the restaurant because you need to make reservations beforehand. The food looked amazing. For drinks, you must try their Bloody Mary, Grey Garden, Kick in the Daisy, and Western Cape.

Summer Attractions

The Art Insitute of Chicago – I love visiting art museums. I am a huge fan of modern art and getting to see one the 3rd largest collections of art in the country was amazing. Definitely, stop by the cafe they have yummy snacks and espresso.

Cloud Gate –  Known as, “The Bean” and it is one of the most common attractions in the city.

Distressed Denim + Lace

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend, honoring our fallen heroes. I want to remember and thank all of our brave heroes who served and who still is serving.

I wanted to share this week’s look. I am obsessed with this robe, it is the best to throw over a simple outfit and it comes in three colors. It pairs perfectly with the Leith lace top I have on.

This pair of Topshop distressed denim is a must have. It is hard to come by a good pair of boyfriend jeans that fit perfectly like these.

IMG_3845IMG_3831IMG_3821

My favorite part, SHOES! I love these Sam Edelman’s. They are the perfect summer sandal because you can either dress it up or down when you don’t want to wear a larger heel. I love that lace up shoes are a trend; it definitely adds a lot to such a simple outfit.

Let’s Have Brunch // One Shoulder Top

Happy Monday, y’all! It is finally starting to feel like summer. I had a wonderful girls brunch with a good friend of mine, Tiffany. She is also an amazing fashion/ travel blogger. We went to Mexican Sugar and I never get disappointed going there. I am definitely taking advantage of this nice patio weather and drinking mimosas before we hit the triple digits. Blog shooting will get a little tough this summer here in Texas, haha but so worth it.

Mexican Sugar is one of my favorite restaurants for brunch & dinner. I ordered the mimosa board with barbacoa tacos and Tiffany ordered avocado toast, yum!
